Merry Christmas (once again)

Man, another year has passed and I haven't written a single journal entry in those 365 days. Oh well, there's been going on a lot in my life this year. I've graduated in June with quite a good school certificate, which is great because it proved it was worth all the effort I'd put into learning. Even in maths I had an, for my standards, awesome outcome and though it was still the worst grade in my certificate I admire it the most.
I spent the summer doing absolutely nothing recovering from the previous stressful time. Unfortunately my brother and his wife decided to seperate. They'd already planned to do so last year but then opted for giving it another try because of their little daughter. In the end it didn't work out, but if you look at the big picture, it's for the best this way.
In October university started and I'm now studying archeology and acient history at Heidelberg. I've met a lot of great people there and although it's a manageable but nontheless a challenge, I must admit I haven't been this happy for a long time. Also now during the Christmas holidays I've got plenty of work but I surely won't complain since it is what I always wanted to do and what I'm interested in.
All in all it has been a good year. It had its ups and downs, but which one hasn't? I've become stonger and more self-confident than I've ever been, certainly also due to the fact that I found some people who actually accept and like me the way I am, which is something I only faced rarely the past years and now I'm more than glad to have it.
